ACTIVE RECREATION

A variety of cycling trails will certainly satisfy all enthusiasts of outdoor activities. Cycling tracks enable to explore single villages and the most interesting attractions as well as you can travel along the coast passing through several marine villages at once. All visitors can also rent the necessary equipment in municipal bicycle renting system (publicly available). As an alternative we recommend paragliding, canoeing , minigolf, rope parks and numerous walking routes.

 

LIGHTHOUSE IN NIECHORZE

From the beautiful beach in Niechorze you can see the true symbol of holidays on the Baltic coast – old lighthuse. The lighthuse is one of the most famous point on the tourist map of Rewal. The building is 45 meters high and on the top you can enjoy a stunning view of the Rewal commune and its surroundings. The lighthuse in Niechorze is considered as a monument due to its unique construction and contrasting colors. The building was erected in 1866 and mainly consists of red bricks. Light reach of this lighthuse: 20 nautical miles – over than 37 kilometers.

RUINS OF THE CHURCH IN TRZĘSACZ

Numerous monuments are absolutely obligatory visiting points in Rewal. Among them, we could distinguish Ruins of the Church in Trzęsacz (unique in Europe). Preserved elements of the Gothic temple are located on the cliff top where you can hear a lot of legends about the history of this church. According to one of these legends, the goddess of the sea “Zielenica” was imprisoned in the building and shortly thereafter she died because of “homesickness”.

PANORAMA TERRACE IN REWAL

No more than 6 kilometers from Niechorze there is another tourist centre – Rewal. In this village you can find beautiful panorama terrace. This observation point is located on top of a steep cliff where  you can admire the perfect view of the sea and the horizon.  In the daytime the terrace performs the function of a coastal promenade, but in early dawn or sunset it attracts great numbers of visitors.

Miniature buildings of lighthouses

The brick lighthouse is not the only facility, that you can admire in Niechorze. We invite you to visit the Miniature Park in Niechorze where you can find all miniatures from the Baltic coast. The lighthouses are build in scale 1:10. A tour guide will accompany you and will provide knowledge and answer all of your questions. Taking pictures is also included in the ticket price, so feel free to take as many pictures as you want! Usually a visit takes about 1 hour.

PARK WIELORYBA W REWALU

If you are planning a visit in Rewal with your family, one of the most famous attraction in this region is the Whale’s Park. In this place you can explore sea world from different perspectives! It is a perfect place for everyone – both children as well as adults. Visiting the Whale’s Park you will find for example a pirate ship, treasure island, 4 different lands and relax area. One of the most important parts of the park is “land Baltic” where you can get known about fauna, flora and climate of the Baltic Sea. Other 3 “lands” are: Pirates and Parrots, Monsters from the deep and Giants from the oceans.

Avenue of roses and lovers

A perfect place for romantic walks is Rewal promenade where you can find the Avenue of roses and lovers. Along the alleys there are almost 150 different species of roses, that bring a true, magical atmosphere of romantic garden. On the boards, which are placed on the Avenue you will find plenty of declarations of love written in various languages. benches for tourists where you can sit and find a moment for relax. On one of those branches you can can find sculptures of 2 famous lovers – Romeo and Juliet as well as the Little Prince and the Rose. This place is very popular among all visitors, not only lovers.

Butterfly Museum in Niechorze

An interesting attraction in Niechorze is also Butterfly Museum where you can see plenty of butterfly species from different regions of the world – Asia, South America or Africa. The Butterfly Museum is located near the Lighthouse and from the outside the building looks like a spherical dome. The conditions inside the building are conducive to butterfly breeding, so you should be lightly dressed. During the tour you can count on the specialistic knowledge of museum employees who are going to explaing you what does the patterns on the butterfly wings mean, how does the butterflies see the world around and another interesting things, that you have never heard before.
